Hey all
Brookhaven has finally been released and so far it feels like the arcade shooter i wanted in VR.
http://store.steampowered.com/app/440630/
Back up to its full price of £14.99 i got to say, i think it will be worth it.
After hammering the demo, my gut feeling was that i would blast through the full game in my first sitting....i was very wrong!
so you are faced with a choice of campaign and survival. campaign will not unlock any new levels or weapons/perks for that matter, until you have completed the previous level.
weapon unlocks/addons and perks are found within each level, some are obvious to spot, others give off a slight glisten where they are hidden-a nostalgic retro arcade tough, much like operation wolf! and here is the catch, you do not get to own that unlock until you complete the level....and that can be tough once you run out of ammo....or battery!!
Survival has waves much like the demo which allow you to spend earned credit on the unlocks before the next round. you get to experience the later level environments here and use the weapons too. the shotgun is very satisfying!
anyway , enough talk, what does everyone else think?
i am hoping there will be scoreboards/challenges etc later but this could take a while to get through, i counted about 10 levels and i got to number 4. luckily you can start from any level you have unlocked.
this guy has done a video with no narration, which makes a nice change!
