The bundle choices

Hiya all,

I was looking at the pre-selected and pre-clocked hardware bundles by OCuk and had a question about the mother boards.

I was looking at the Krypton Z68 600i Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.60GHz Overclocked Bundle and noticed I had the choice of these mobos

Asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68

Asus P8Z68-V pro Intel Z68

P8Z68 DELUXE

There doesn't appear to be an awful lot of difference between them according to Asus website.

I'm gonna be rocking the above spec with 8gb RAM and probably a 6970 gfx card in the hope of getting another 6970 in future for a crossfire setup.

Is there any discernible reason to upgrade between the standard and the pro?

I'm sure you're right dude. Truth is I'm looking at a bundle because it's been soooo long since I've really done any overclocking. I kid you not, the last time I did was back in the Athlon days when AMD was king of the clocking!

I'd very much welcome a tastier alternative to the OC bundle, but I may be pestering folk for help later on!

Add a Gellid Tranquillo cooler and up the ram option to 8gb.

Thanks for the advice guys, I took your advice and bought bits rather than a bundle. You'll no doubt be getting OC'ing questions in future.

I'm sure Tokin will answer those as he persuaded you not to buy an overclocked bundle.
