I've just completed Portal (1) for the first time. :p Such a great game, although a little short and lacking any particularly challenging levels. But the insane computer and the ending are epic. :D

And yeah, I realise I'm 4 years too late to the party! :D Kind of reminds me of this...

So anyone else want to admit being late to the portal cake party? :D
 
Great game, only completed it a few months ago after noticing it mysteriously appeared in my steam account. I have checked and I never bought any pack which had it included so don't know where it came from...superb game though.

Maybe Portal 2 will magically appear in my account one day :D

Maybe you won it in a competition on here? As they seem to be giving away large amounts of games for Steam...

I only completed portal about a month ago. But always thought it was a silly game but when I did play it great great! With Portal 2 I said to myself when it is sub -£18 I will buy. Then 2 weeks later £15 on the the famous rainforest site. Which is when I also cancelled Duke Nukem pre order as 1 game a month is enough!.

Nope...can't say i've ever entered a competition in my life...i'm one of those pessimistic "i'll never win" types ;)

I have no idea where it came from, it's bugged me for a while now.
 
Played it a bit over a year ago when Valve were giving it away for free; so quite late to the party but not as late as this ;)

I was surprised how many others had never bothered to play it either though, and still haven't despite the free offering.

Did they give it free to all Steam users without them having to do anything?

Maybe that's where it came from!

Ok there's a picture of a cake after completion, but I didn't see any cake involved in the plot... So the cake IS a lie. :p

I think that the particular phrase comes from the fact that when you go into one of the rooms, in red writing it's written all over the wall loads of times:

"The cake is a lie!"

When I saw it I thought "oh THAT is where it's from" :p
 
I only completed Portal 1 a few weeks ago, AFTER finishing Portal 2.

These are games I am desperate for DLC for.

Thank goodness for Valve.
