The Capture - BBC

Wasn't that just his excuse for boning someone at his mother's funeral?

It had nothing really to do with the story, wasn't part of the plot, or fundamental to the character. Not even sure why Arknor brought it up. It was no more relevant to the show than the colour of the barrister's hair in the first season. Seemed like he just wanted to have a dig at the BBC, which I can understand but this thread isn't the place.

it's not? it's not a BBC series?

It's factually incorrect and absolutely spoiled the character.

Interesting how cop cars don't have cameras, cops don't wear cameras and mobile phones don't have cameras until the final episode though.

compared to a series like counterpart it's average dross you'd expect from the BBC

Been years but it's been renewed for another season

Oh new season. We enjoyed previously aired ones too.

I didn't realise they're making a new season of this. I guess it makes sense, as there's lots of stories that can be told in relation to this.

S3 was the weakest for me and felt like it was going to almost wrap it all up in case they didn't renew it later on, but then we got the ending that we got so it felt like they are wanting to do another series.

Felt like one of the writers enjoyed the last Mission Impossible films and decided they wanted to do their own spin on it.

I was worried it started to get a bit silly midway through the season. Thankfully didn't get quite as silly as expected, but in terms of

an AI program effectively running the country - I guess that's where we're headed!
Wasn't sure what to make of the last scene.

Surely Gemma is dead, she was shot point blank in a crowded room. So why tease that?

Bait and switch, no doubt she'll not be dead and it was AI 'deepfake' as that seems to be the way they are writing the show constantly to the point it's getting slightly annoying watching it for me as it seems to lean into that too heavily for the sake of 'twists and turns'.
