Good god that looks horrific!

So i'm finally pulling the trigger on a RaceGlaze filter (I know I'll wonder why I never got one sooner as soon as it lands!)

How does everyone have the hose setup to use them? I've seen a hozelock 4 way adapter that would make sense for my single tap I have in the garage but aside from that it looks like I could easily spend a further £50 on hozelock adapters!

I had a look at that Ka tonight, it does indeed look like so.ething has been left on to dry. A quick go over with a polisher should sort it.

The suggestion has been made that dodgy respray work is to blame. The car looks like it's had some sort of paint work before, but the damage is all over the car so I'd be surprised if the car has had a full respray before

This is how I have mine setup. Its pretty much a static setup now, no need to drag and kick the pressure washer down the drive and tangle wires etc...

I have extended the pressure washer hose now about 16m in total which just hangs on the back of the garage door along side the filter hose.

Also just fitted an inline tds meter with some 3/4 washing machine Y fittings and 3/4 to 1/4 push fit connectors for the meter. I can take a quick reading like this and pretty cheap to do.

I also have a stand alone TDS which I cross ref with every now again.

Karcher intake and vessel intake I used some PC water cooling hose and some jubilee clips to make the water feed. Feed in comes from the outside garden tap.
Popped on some ball valves to shut off/lower flow rate to the vessel to prolong its life.

Amazon basics are fine for the interior with the exception of shiny plastic console surrounds, I wouldn't let them near the exterior paint though, for that you're better off spending a bit more money and get something like Rag Company cloths. You'll pay more but they'll last you longer.

Fine for interior, wheels, and engine bays. Not the worst thing you could use on the exterior, though they are low weight and pile so won't offer any real protection against marring from dirt or particles on the paint. If you're using them for removing wax/polish and the car will be clean then they'll be fine for exterior too. Wouldn't personally use them for any washing techniques using microfibres, or for quick detailing purposes.

The Kirkland ones are a similar price but are a bit plusher with a longer pile - makes them a safer option.

ah ok thanks

i use a mitt to wash the bodywork anyway, that has a long pile
i then use a microfibre cloth for polish/wax, and any "trim" like back to black, and all interior

Just looking into polishers, anyone have the amazon katsu DA polisher? Not hesitant on spending some more but if I can get away with a decentish polisher for ~£50 then why not?

Also during my googles I noticed this - https://uk.milwaukeetool.eu/m18-fuel-polisher/m18-fap/ - how safe would this be for newbies? I note that is a rotary, but the rpm's seem quite low. Given that I'm already invested in the milwaukee ecosystem and have 5 mah batteries, this also looks tempting.

Did you end up taking a punt on the Katsu polisher? I'm tempted to grab one of these as a father's day present... and borrow it in the future!

I did, it's not a bad piece of kit but it's quite heavy and loud. I picked up the vertool 900w 21mm throw machine afterwards and got through my car quicker.
