The Cave

I'm about 3 hours in to the game and I love it. Very addictive though if you've a mind for puzzle solving.

It didn't occur to me that it could be a console port. Its very easy to play on a PC once you've learnt which keys do what.
 
Bought on Xbox and enjoyed the 2 hours I played.

So the characters I've chosen, that's it for the whole game? Could've told you this at the start.

Also, anyone getting FPS drops all the time? Prob the crappy Xbox but I would've thought it could run this at a steady frame rate lol.

You can always go back when you finish and play with the other characters, it creates replayability!

3 hours into the game at the moment, and I am absolutley loving it, takes me a bit longer with the puzzles than most as I don't play them that often, but I am absolutley loving this!!
 
About 2 hours in and really enjoying this so far. Have chosen the Hillbilly, Scientist and the Adventurer.

Would have liked more dialogue and the jumping to be less floaty but apart from that it's like a really good game.
 
Anyone else played The Cave yet? Its a puzzle/adventure style game made by Ron Gilbert, the guy responsible for the Monkey Island series. You control 3 charcters chosen out out of a group of 7 and have to navigate through a cave that can hold your greatest desire, but also your darkest secrets.

Its good a good blend of humour and the puzzle elements can sometimes be tricky to work out, but the different characters each have a special ability that can help you overcome it. Plus different areas of the cave become available to explore depending on which characters you've chosen, so theres good replayability as well.

I'd recommend it as it is only £10 and well worth playing.
 
I'm enjoying it, there have been some crazy puzzles which really haven't made sense to me but all in all good job.
 
How many people have bought this?

I'm playing with the knight, twins and scientist.

I'm quite enjoying it, lots of funny Double-fine-esque touches, but a bit repetitive in places.

About half way through my 2nd placethrough at the moment, with Time Traveller Scientist and Adventurer, still doesn't feel repetitive to me? Having a lot of fun with it truth be told, was hoping to get the 2nd playthrough done through the weekend but alas, it wasn't to be!
 
I must not be in the mood for it... I got stuck after activating the lift back up to the vending machines. No idea what I am doing haha.
 
I completed my first playthrough and now doing a second one with the hillbilly, twins and monk. I noticed the trinkets you have to get for the gift shop are different on the second playthrough, becoming the 3 objects of desire my last group wanted.
 
Have to say I was pretty disappointed with this.

Completed 6 out 7 characters in two sittings and don't plan on doing the last as I can't be bothered to go through all the filler levels + character levels I've already done... :(
