The Chaos Engine

I have very fond memories of playing The Chaos Engine on the Amiga, I was somewhat surprised to see a remake being released on STEAM in just under 2 weeks. I just couldn't resist buying it I'm glad that the music and sound effects have been left intact.

I can understand why they wouldn't want to do much with the graphics. Bitmap Brothers games always had quite distinctive artwork, and it would be quite difficult to modernise them to much without the game losing something in my opinion. Same with the sound effects, in many ways the music / sound effects made the game.

I think in the video they mention online co-op as well as local and achievements so there are at least a few additions over the original.

I was quite happy to pay the £6.29 simply for the convenience of being able to launch and play it from Steam.

I'm also looking forward to the Superfrog HD PC release, and it'll no doubt be sold for a similar price. I already have it on the PS3, but I'll happily buy it again for PC
