Anybody getting this, ordered it for £19.99 its on a special deal, played the demo and it was great fun so for 20 notes its a bargain.

Looks like it will be fun online and from the makers of PGR3/4 so its been in good hands.

Review Snippet

Overall, The Club is brilliantly immediate, logical and rewarding in ways that the PGR games always were and are, and it does for the third-person shooter what no one else has even bothered trying to do: moving it closer to the 2D shoot-'em-ups of old in a manner that appeals anew. In terms of Bizarre's canon, it is what PGR was for cars: familiar concepts designed to be enjoyed over and over rather than gasped at and discarded.

I was tempted but it's a fact that these sort of games just don't have the longevity. Beating high scores is just a cop out for a short game.

That's absolute tosh. We already have a vast library of games that we play once and last 15-20 hours. I've heard this one can be "completed" in six. So what? I can't wait to complete it, start again, and start perfecting my run-throughs, getting better and better at the game and climbing the leaderboards.

Balls to playing another interactive movie for 15 hours and then shelfing it.

So the concept of Geometry Wars or in fact any arcade-style game is a "cop out"? I admit, CoD 4 is my most played 360 game, but guess what's number 2 on my list? And it's not as though I have a shortage of games to play.

Should be getting this through the FHM deal. Not sure when it'll arrive though. Havn't decided whether i'll keep it or sell it yet

its ok, nothing special, not bad or great, don't see myself replaying through with any of the other characters as once done with one its not so different with another.

I didn't really like the demo. It was okay, but unless I missed something, it was just a shoot-em-up where you have to kill people as quick as possible. It didn't really matter what the objective was as killing people quick was the only thing that mattered.

A real shame, I had high hopes for it as the PGR series was so good.

High hopes? Can you expand on that? What would you have liked to see? A story and missions? Another Gears of Wars sort of thing?

Because if you ask me, we have Gears of War and in fact numbers 2 and 3 on the horizon. And there are plenty of other third person action games out there. I quite like the idea of mindlessly running around and killing people as quickly as possible for no reason. There are countless other games available that do what you seemingly want this one to do as well.

Same, after finishing the demo I really had no appeal to go back and play it again. Not a bad game just a bit meh.

Copy came today in the post, just played a bit before i go to work great game, love the way bullets ricochet of walls and metal doors and can kill the bad guys.

It's a good concept that's a laugh, you really can't take it seriously if you're to enjoy it. It's an old school shooter.

The voice-overs are woeful though.

I thought the demo was meh at first but then it grown on me ... I shown it to my younger bro and he just slated it  I may pick it up if the multi player gets a good response :)

Picked it up on Saturday, had a couple of goes on it today, its fun ill give it that. It feels like a 3rd person shoot em up which is a bit different now days. No cover button, no squad to order about , no stealthy bits just plain old shoot the bad guys for the highest score, not tried the multiplayer yet but it seems like it will be fun.

Got this for £20 when I got DMC4 and personally I think it's great :D DMC4 hasn't had a look in all weekend. This is just a good old fashioned shoot em up where it's all about the score and finding all the secrets. Great fun imho and strangely enough one of the best games I've played on 360 for a while. Sure there is no oscar winning story line, no indepth character development, and it certainly won't take you 40 hours to complete it. But it certainly has plenty of replay value and it seems like one of those games that is great to put on for half an hour after a stressful day.
