Picked this up a while back for free from Dixons Downloads so decided to give it a bash. Just completed it, thoughts below:

+Innovative design, blending elements of racing with third person action – the actual game is fairly mediocre, but at least it is something new and the arcade slant is a welcome break from ‘tactical’ games
+Excellent performance
+Game mechanics drive you forwards in the pursuit of combos making for frantic gameplay
+Sound is fairly impressive

-Clear xbox port with labels showing pad buttons, very shoddy
-Gets quite repetitive
-Tournament mode is fairly short, there is around 50 stages set over 8 levels but each one only takes a few minutes to play through. Less than 4hrs gameplay to complete, although it is fast paced
-Mouse feels a bit inconsistent, especially when using zoom
-AI is poor and overly scripted, in siege/survivor mode often new waves of enemies will move to exactly the same position as where you’ve previously gunned them down
-Could have done with a bit more of a story/narrative – it is hard to build up any sort of empathy with the characters
-The modes are very similar, siege/survivor are basically the same except in one the health doesn't seem to respawn, and even after completing the game I still don't know the difference between Guantlet and Time Trial

All in all a strange experience, the first hour or so was enjoyable (more so than it should be) but it soon starts to get old and repetitive as the novelty wears off. Glad I didn't pay for it as the game length is very disappointing, you could blitz this in an afternoon if you wanted.

Its obviously not your cup of tea the game is superb & graphically texture wise an incredible amount of detail considering how old it is puts many recent games to shame.
