C'mon then... who's looking forward to this, sounds brill.

Love Horror films and it's about time one got made that is actually scary!

Think this is supposed to be pretty good, especially compared to most of the crap predictable horrors that are being released all the time, from what I've heard...

It does what horror should do. It does make your hair rise at times (quite hard to do these days). It does make people jump.

Do not watch it as a poor copy on a PC screen in the morning, see it in a dark cinema room and you'll enjoy it (and definitely won't fall asleep).

its getting very good ratings and hype.

normally hype yeah means nothing but the ratings are coming out and giving it really good marks.

will keep a eye out for it but not overly bothered about it.

I saw this last night and thought it was pretty good. I was a little apprehensive about it 1/4 the way through, but it picks up and eventually sucked me straight in. There are some fantastic horror movie moments in it near the end that had me glued to the screen.

It's very similar to Insidious, but I think Insidious' main antagonist is much better imagined and scary. Although saying that I do think The Conjuring is a much better put together horror movie. Almost like the director has refined his art. Its more thorough and better paced with non of the wacky characters that appear in Insidious half way through.

I saw this last night. I was really looking forward to it after hearing and reading all the hype, but it was one of the worst films I've seen in a while.

It almost felt like i had seen the movie before. It felt like Amityville Horror, The Exorcist and Insidious all chopped up and mixed into one. Not a single scene in this movie was original and the storyline couldn't have been more predictable from start to finish. I admit i jumped two or three times but that was due to them being "jump scares" e.g it being silent and then a door slamming. A door slamming in my house also makes me jump, doesn't mean its scary or that i enjoy it! In my opinion a good horror can build suspense and tension without using these cheap scare tactics. The Shining is a good example of how to build tension and have you on the edge of your seat!

I also thought it was a big mistake in actually showing the ghosts in a physical form. Once i saw what appeared to be young kids covered in make-up then it kind of ruined it for me.

I'm not even gonna go into the million and one cliches that are littered throughout the entire film, as I'd be here all day typing. This might make teenage girls scream on the back row of the cinema, but unfortunately its not for me.
4/10

Was okay. I get scared easily and found it pretty scary at some points. A cross between Paranormal activity and the exorcism I'd say. 6/10

I'd give this film a 7.5/10

They said they gave the film an 18 rating for the level of how scary the film is, as there is hardly much blood etc.

It amazes me how many of Ed and Lorraine Warrens supposed real life experiences make it to the big screen. Amityville, the Haunted, The Conjuring.

Real life demonologists or superb story tellers? The choice is yours.

pfft these are the types of film you really need to watch alone/with the gf in the dark with all the curtains shut.
cinema experience ruins horror films.

I saw it and thought it was a good film and it left me pretty paranoid but I had to go home where I live by myself and sleep alone!

Well as there is no such things as demons I think you've answered your own question.

In the film they talk about evidence of a haunting/spirit before the church will do an exorcism I bet in RL there was none ;)

Good film though just don't go believing it's based on reality a great deal
