I am sure many of us are unsure about what CPU cooler to buy as it might interfere with tall ram, NB's, heatsink's etc.

I am interested in this because of a new SB build i will be doing soon.

A pic would be the icing on the cake. I will take mine soon.

Format like this (say if you are using two fans on the cooler) :

Cooler: Zalman CNPS9700

Ram: OCZ Reaper X HPC PC6400 4GB (pretty tall and curved heatsink)

Mobo:
Evga 680i S775

Compatibility issues:
None

Excellent idea for a thread. Please keep images fairly small and give full details of components.

Cooler: Titan Fenrir TTC-NK85TZ (Mounted for vertically)

Ram: 6GB (3 x 2GB) OCZ Gold Tripple DDR3 Channel RAM 1600MHz

Mobo: Foxconn Bloodrage GTI X58

Compatibility issues: Needs removal of 120mm fan to get to DIMM#1 as below

No issues, apart from needing to remove the fan to get to the dimm slot below.

Good idea for a thread. I just want to point out that all coolers will be compatible with RAM that have standard low profile heatspreaders. It would be better if those with taller RAM modules posted with their cooler setup. Anyway, I'll post some pictures I have to give an idea of clearance.

Motherboard: ASUS Rampage III Extreme
Memory: OCZ Platinum Triple Channel DDR3 1333MHz

Cooler: Thermalright HR-02
Compatibility issues: None

Cooler: Thermalright Silver Arrow
Compatibility issues: 4 slots

Motherboard: Biostar T-Power X58
Memory: OCZ Platinum Triple Channel DDR3 1333MHz

Cooler: Thermaltake Frio
Compatibility issues: None

Cooler: Prolimatech super mega

Ram: ocz reaper 1600mhz

Mobo: Asus p6t deluxe v2

Compatibility issues: The fan clip almost touches the heatsink of the first memory stick.

As an aside, prior to the mega i used a TRUE black, same size as a thermalright vx, no issues at all with ram interference, 12gb of high heatsinked ram such as ocz reaper would fit easily.

Super mega.

Cooler: Prolimatech Megahalems (with Noctua NF-P12 fan - standard depth 120mm fan)

Ram: Patriot Viper 6GB 1600MHz CL8

Mobo: Gigabyte EX58-UD5

Compatibility issues: Needed to bend fan mounting clip to attach to inner fan mount hole, instead of the standard outer fan mount hold. (please see image for clarification). With this small modification - this works fine and is secure.

This arrangement works fine with three memory modules of any height - but would require low-profile memory modules to install a RAM stick into the first slot.

Not a great photo but shows the first slot covered, TRUE with Patriot memory on a Gigabyte X58 UD5 board:

Cooler: OCZ Gladiator 92mm
Ram: 2 x 2GB Kingston DDR3 with standard sized heatspreaders
Mobo: Asrock M3A770DE

Nice clearance here, although my cooler is smaller than most on this thread. ;)
