The correct method to leak test a loop.

No worries, I know very little of water cooling loops and was thinking more in terms of a plumbing project where I would probably add in a blanked T piece to allow for testing of the full loop whilst fully connected and then just secure the blank end again when done

. You could even add a tail and isolator valve to the blank end and have it outside the case (possibly using one of the holes at the back of most cases) making it possible to leak test the loop while it was full and running at any time if you suspected a leak later on.

My apologies if this sounds stupid as I said I dont know a great deal about water cooling as I am just venturing into it, im just thinking what I would look at

I like the idea, its a good one. I'll consider it for next time I need to build a loop, doesn't effect me too much as I rarely take it apart. I prefer to do bigger upgrades and leave everything running for as long as possible.

OP its a shame, you come across as quite rude in some of your posts although I'm sure its unintentional.

Good idea for people who wanna be on the safe side, or if your in a rush to complete a build and you don't wanna leave it overnight to leak test/bleed air.

True but then hardline are OCD anyway, a person who is willing to pay extra and make things harder just for aesthetics probably wouldn't blink twice at doing this, besides you only have to pay for the parts once whereas you have to pay for extra fluid for every leak (granted I have only had one leak in 13 years, but still).

Its not just for aesthetics,the acrylic tube is clearer and does not fog over time nor leech plasticizer,it really is the lifetime of the loop rather than 3-6 months.
My SR2 has not had the fluid changed in 3 yrs for example and its still clear as the day it was put in,however that is chrome plated copper rather the acrylic but the example stands.

This build was for a customer,its been going 2 yrs without servicing.

Because the tube is not water permeable,fluid levels so not drop either,tho that is a minor concern.

Now,I agree that Bitspower functionality is the same as everybody else but the sheer range,colours and finish quality make them my go to fittings,however...EK fittings are pretty good also,they rarely get props for their fittings but they are very good.

I leak test by filling it with fluid and turning it on.
Never had a leak.

Really like your method but am i missing something how are you building up the pressure?
i'd like to do this myself as i run hardline pipes ....and did have a leak at one point and would have been nice to have used this method first.

A simple bike pump,thats what the schrader valve is for.

Nice I guess thats the micro bender, that pipe looks less than 10mm to me. Do you run your GFX card in parallel flow?

Its 10mm OD copper.

I always run GPU's in serial.
