Written by Dumas, I believe this is quite simply my favourite book ever written.

It's huge, coming in at over 1200 pages, with a really small font. But the story is amazing. Every character links up perfectly and subtly, with backstories being enough to publish on their own, letalone the main character's adventures.

Blurb can be found here - http://www.amazon.com/gp/reader/014...WtnLwxFjfUala+NPMCj22xILkM9BZdjE=#reader-link

Just wondering if anyone else has read it.

:)

I've bought it. I've got a bit of a backlog of books to read though. Might read it next though, how difficult is it to read?

I saw the film a while back, was great, I keep meaning to watch it again as I forgot a large chunk :( ... I'm not much of a bookworm really, and 1000+ pages sounds too hardcore for me. That said, I'll pick it up and see how I get on. :)

If you fancy an easier read (not that I've read the original, but 1200 pages is a bit of a monster) then I would recommend 'The Stars Tennis Balls' by Stephen Fry.

It's a modern day adaptation/rewrite but not in a bad way, I found it a good read anyway.

I've just bought this as well. Looking forward to reading it, although sounds like it's going to take a while to get through.

Just getting back into reading and am really enjoying it - in the last few weeks I've read Catcher in the Rye, American Psycho and nearly finished 1984. Good way to pass the time.

Well to give you an idea as to how hard it is to read... Lord Of the Rings is over 1000 pages, and that is probably twice as hard to finish.

+ I am 16. :p

It does take a while to read, but it's like reading more then one book. Or I found it so =)

It is brilliant. Fantastic.

I've read it more than once and will read it again some time soon.

Well, it turns out this book is copyright free, probably because it was written so long ago.

The whole ebook can be downloaded legally here: http://www.gutenberg.org/etext/1184

I'm a few chapters in now, I'll probably buy the physical book anyway, as I prefer reading a real book compared to reading from a computer screen... :) Either that or print out an obscene amount of pages...
