The Countdown Has Begun...... Fallout 3

Yay, met my first Yao Guai whilst playing this morning.

Lucky I spotted him from afar.

Climbed to a high spot, dropped a couple of frag mines on the path to my location. Then fired a 10mm pistol round to catch it's attention.

Here he comes:

Yao guai are easy, just wait till you find a deathclaw, those things are insane, worse than the super mutant behmoth ( ?), i have my Ui set to white, blue is ok, amber is so-so.

slight off topic if I'm allowed.... does anyone know of a good post apocalyptic book / series in the vein of FO3?

Am having great fun so far, just found the Yao Guai cave on the way to robocorp. Playing the good protector role at the moment but have an evil alter ego planned for later.

edit... found a few possibilities;
Swan Song by Robert R. Mc Cammon
Outlanders series by James Axler (and related Deathlands series)

but still after recommendations please

You must have missed most of the game as well over 100 locations to find and around 50 quests to complete in all so plenty for you to discover. Some of the other vaults you find are vast underground structures with plenty of things to find and do and lots of different suits/helmets to find and wear.

Just did vualt 92, took me about an hour or more.

well just loaded up game from last night. when i heard strange sound just managed to turn around and press vats button nearly fell from my seat. the ****** scared me like hell.

and it was my first encounter with this kind of animal in the game

Killed my first one of those last night too. And I managed to take down one of those deathclaw things. Damn that took some explosives.

...Notice what is wrong with this picture :D
You're either a midget or escaped the vault a few years too early :D

The Road by Cormac McCarthy. I read it several weeks ago to put me in the right frame of mind for FO3. It worked a treat :p

have they made a mad max book?

Quite a bit of the jokes/references in the first/second are from that. :p

Oh god, the horror. Ol' Olney is a horrible place. I HIGHLY recommend people to not go there without a hell of a lot of ammo and stimpaks.

Haha, my first Yaoi crept up behind and jumped in my face when I turned to check that strange gutteral growling noise too... made me jump!

The game also gets pretty amazing (even more than it was to begin with) once the Enclave comes into the plot. Those are some pretty bad dudes, and now the game feels like an actual sequel to the previous Fallout games.

Been playing on an off for a couple of days, The game is amazing, >oblivion. Drawdistance is impressive, and i love the feel of trying to survive at the end of the world.

I just finished the main storyline, and i must say that ending was very impressive. I wont give it away, but the fun i had when doing that last mission was comparable to retaking red square in call of duty, or the final mission in CoD4. Its rare to have so much enjoyment out of the singleplayer, most games are fun but nothing special, where as this was quite an amazing game :D

Now im going to play it through again as an evil melee/unarmed character and see how different it is. This second time round will also give me to do things i didnt do the first time round, like get that MIRV which launches 5 of the fat man type nukes at a time.

Have you checked the confiq knives? Most of them have a screenshot key for mappin onto the keyboard. If not, then I can't help. Not got the frigging game! :(

Is this normal for the fallout 3 textures??

They kind of have a dot matrix/grid effect to them, not just up close, at a distance too, not easy too spot all the time, but its there...anyone?
