Possible sticky? With this coming up quite often, would be good for people to post the next best drivers that they have found to work the best, especially with all the new graphics card floating around, the drivers can give big performance gains with certain drivers, so do spill the beans :D

It totally depends on your card. I'd say the best drivers on the whole are the ones that are the latest ones - purely because they offer the most support.

As said, depends on the card really. Ive always found the older Ti rang of card run better on the 47-48 range of drivers, whereas the newer stuff run better on the newer drivers.

Its just a case of play around until you ind the best ones really if you can be bothered. Personally i just take the latest official ones off nvidias site.

I currently have a 6800GT @ Ultra (Gainward Golden Sample) so whichever drivers make it work the best, for games and everything else it is suppost to offer. Sometimes apparently there are drivers that are faster/better than the officially released ones.

Yeah there will always be better fitting ones than the latest for older cards but the difference is minimal. We're talking less than 5% framerate at best. Take a look at the omega drivers, they're apparently optimised and give improved image quality.

NGO NVIDIA Optimized Driver v1.8426

Anyone tried that driver yet? Any good?

As for those Omega drivers, I doubt they would be any good as they havnt been updated since about June last year, and cant see them doing anymore updates, as they seem to be geared towards ATI updates only

Depends what you are doing with the card.
I could only get my TV out working with 81.98 other driver's would only publish in Black & White on my 6600GT.

84.25 have been best for me. Work great in fear and the 84.20 version had awful iq for some reason.

x64 support has been poor so far, been stuck with 82.12 for ages.
Finally released the 84.25 drivers for x64 on 14th April, downloading now

I dont have that problem with still being on x32, even though being on a x64 platform would be the best idea. Im sure that the x64 idea will be big business when Vista gets released and people move away from the normal, single core market for good.

Just wish that there wasnt so many Nvidia drivers around, hence the reason this should me made as a sticky to the best drivers currently going, as several drivers are getting released weekly
