The Daleks are coming...

...to my workplace.

They are going to be filming an episode of Dr Who with the Daleks at my works, Cardiff University

Anyhow keeping this TV related. Has anyone had a TV show filmed at their works/university etc?

I was working accross the road in Reading from the Carpark used in the opening sequence of 'Crime Travler' (Anyone remember that excelent series!!) the one used to rocket a Car into the Kennet and Avon Canal...

They set up early, carefully removing the wall, then re-building it with 'Fake' bricks... Smashed a car through it... then Re-Built it... Good as new!... No work was done by us that day!...

Dr Who filmed im my home town of warwick about a month ago now

and dangerfield was a regular there.

Wasn't most of the last 2 series' filmed in and around Cardiff anyway, including extensive use of the university facilities. And the "London" shopping centre was one in Cardiff too!

When are they doing it? I'm back up there 29/30th Sep. Mmm, students union

I was in an epoisode of Grange Hill in about 1989, they used our school as an exchange trip.

I was "boy walking round corner with blue bag on shoulder"

I think they must have forgotten to send my Oscars invite though

Don't know the date guys, the sods are keeping that aspect zipped up. Plus what I know is that it won't be the main campus, its the heath campus.

they have filmed the special 'Casualty' show, where it is set in the 1800's, in the old Royal Infermary near us, This morning a film crew was taking over a cafe on the edge of Sefton Park.They have also filmed the Phillip Pullman story 'Ruby in the Smoke' there

They got the Dalek pictures processed in my works (Tesco Extra Cardiff) when they were designing / building them just before they started shooting. Was pretty cool to see what's inside them. Probably could have knocked of a few "spares" and made same money. Damn my honesty.

And yes, lots of it is filmed in Cardiff. They had the Tardis on the BBC Wales roof for ages.
