The Darkness- official thread

Without wanting to turn this into another one of those threads, I can't decide whether to get this on the 360 or PS3. Not bought anything for the PS3 in a while so I'm leaning to that. Got Forza on the 360 only a week or so ago.

Apparently it's been delayed on the PS3, so that's an import then.

Im definitely looking forward to this, Riddick was my favorite game on the xbox and its been a long wait for more my them. All the trailers i've seen look fantastic :)

Did you know they are remaking it for next-generation release? I personally can't bloody wait! It looked brilliant then and still does, so the new one could be incredible...
 
Yeah I've heard about it, made me very happy :D

Think id still prefer an actual sequel though... I have faith that there will be enough new content to justify the remake.

Just went to pre-order it from the rainforest place, and it still says June 29th there! ??

EDIT: Or I see the Canadian import place has it listed for June 25th, few quid cheaper too ;)

Another edit: Never mind, just preordered it anyway :)

Just seen the Darkness (360 version) being on the latest Gamespot "On the Spot" (6/14/07) and I can't wait. The bit where the 'little dudes' slither then jump and pull the heart out of the bad guys reminds me a lot of AvP and I 'luved' that game...

:) Needed a great game :)
 
Gonna get this on the 360 i think. All the videos i have seen have been on the 360 so i think thats a safest bet. Also ill get achievements.

The PS3 version will no doubt have framerate problems if its on both consoles.

Frame rate problems? just like oblivion then! :p , anyway not heard of any frame rate probelms or seen any in the PS3 movies ive seen, read they both run at a constant 30 FPS but hey ive not got the game so i dont know. The PS3 version, because of the Blu-ray format, Starbreeze plans to include additional videos that exploit the "television watching" feature which currently consists of the classic "Nosferatu" vampire silent film (in its entirety) and five 30-minute Popeye cartoons. The publisher isn't sure what the PS3-exclusive videos will be just yet.

I can just see the Xbox version being better though. I hope the PS3 version is exactly the same as the 360 version, i would probably get it on that then.
