I came across this youtube video this morning. It makes me sad to see the gaming industry go this way.
And then a bit later I read this article on Eurogamer.

I'm getting open world overload myself. As most of them feel lazy. And not populated with interesting stuff that isn't mostly copy and paste.
And because of the easy money they can make with the open world model. The future of single player linear games isn't looking to good at all.
Some people just have to much money to burn.
