Dont get me started. One of my friends had a 5 hour lesson, sat and passed the same day. He had and probably still has no experience and has written off several cars.

One of MY friends had a 4 hour lesson, passed the same day and the following morning was offered the position of test driver with Williams F1. He declined though as he wanted a race seat.

There should me a minimum amount of qualified instructor lessons that you have to have to be able to pass I reckon, lots of people are passing but still know diddly squat

I'm not one to normally do this but the correct spelling is 'licence'. Not many people seem to know that.

6 days to pass my test and then 6 days to write my first car off nearly killing myself and 3 passengers. The one year of lessons idea they are talking about is a bit much, but maybe a "Restricted" plate for a year after passing your test is a good idea.
