the defult gateway is not available (again)

Hi all, after spending a few hours on the net looking for a solution, I am at a loss as to what to do! About every 30 secs - 2 mins my internet cuts off, in order to re-connect I have to open network and sharing, then fix it from there, which it does fine, but then disconnects again. I have reset my router, and my PC is hooked up via Ethernet. I am with sky and am under the impression that I cant access the router.

No idea what to do but am getting very frustrated, any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks guys, have done the resets will let you know how it holds up.

as far as the router packing up, you could be right, however it is less than a month old. I do have a pretty nice netgear one lying around but i was under the impression that I had to use the one provided to me by sky? if this is untrue please let me know as i would much rather be using the netgear router!

Update*

Still having problems im afraid, worked for a good while, now it doing it again

if i Reset the ip it keeps it going for a while, I have had to do it twice since last night. I don't suppose you have any other ideas?

Comp is win7, not at home at the mo so cant run ipconfig, will check later though and let you know, I have adobe cs5 installed.
