I know this is pretty much common sense, but its being bothered to clean out thats the issue! lol

Maybe this will inspire some :) Oh my wee tests are just using 'Core Temp' and 'GPU-Z' and pretty idle, im only kickin about the desktop!

Before
CPU Core0 24, Core1 27
GPU 40

After...

Thats all really, should keep things tidy! Oh and didnt take me too long, about an hour and i was watchin Futurama in the background :P

Craig!

I did mine at Christmas, probably gonna do it again next week. I didnt think to look at the temps, just did it for aesthetics. Looked really smart afterwards, the Antec 900 is a pain in the back side to keep dust under control. Might do the famous tight modification next week.

Good work mate, looks as good as new!

Im pretty sure i done mines last around christmas, perhaps start of december actually!

Couldnt belive it was that bad! :P

Yeah, i can imagine the 900's are a bit of a pain to keep clean, at least with the 182's you dont see inside unless your inside! lol

Craig, was that just using compressed air here and there? If it was more involved perhaps you can detail what you did. Do you take components out in order to give them a good going over (as well as the space they were in)?

I tried to clean mine over christmas with the cheapest compressed air I could find on ebay. No matter what I did (and I made sure to hold it upright) it seemed to splurt out liquid. Luckily none of my components frazzled - but it completely put me off. But I do wonder whether I just used it for too long. May be you should just use it a little at a time, preventing build up of liquid... Not sure.

Good post btw - its inspired me to give this another bosh.

Thanks... glad i inspired someone :)

I do tend to take most components out, graphics, sound, HDD's, RAM, fans... all i left in just there was the PSU, motherboard, CPU, cooler and DVDRW.

I didnt use any compressed air actually... i used a few paint brushes! (i dont know if they can damage things or not) I use a large one with long bristles and a wide coverage to get the vast majority of the dust off, then a smaller one to get in all the wee bits... capacitors, I/O hub, PCI Slots, etc!

Been doing this method for years and never lost a component!
