Intel Pentium 4 915 Dual Core "LGA775 Presler" 2.8GHz (800FSB) - Retail (CP-133-IN)
but whats the difference if I were to buy this,
Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz (1066FSB) - Retail (CP-128-IN)
they are both dual core but where does it change things pls..
Rgds, Wayne...
ty in advance for the help and advice...

The 6600 is a million times better (and faster) with 4mb cache, built on 65 nm technology and none of that sill net burst thing that didnt work! totally different architecture in the Core 2 chips as well... and of course a faster FSB

Intel Core 2 DUO A.K.A. Conroe's (& Allendale) are the new, super fast chips from Intel! See here & here for more info :D

Suggest you also search 'Conroe' here :)

If you can afford it go Conroe, but make sure you get a compatible mobo & RAM. If not, then get the 915 or better with a Core 2 DUO compatible mobo then you can upgrade just the chip later on
