I recently bought the OCUK "Supersaurus" system which I have been using for the past week. This has an i5-2500k overclocked to 4.5ghz (water cooled), 8gb 1600mhz RAM, GTX580 1.5gb, Asus Xonar DG 5.1 soundcard, M4 64GB SSD, Samsung F3 1TB with a MSI P67A-GD54 mobo, running Win7 64bit.

I've been getting several blue screens with stop code 124. These BSOD's seem to be happening randomly, sometimes while playing games, othertimes when idle or just downloading files. My system is running cool wih maximum temps at 56c after several hours of gaming or Prime95 tests.

I have now reset the BIOS settings back to default and the CPU is now at standard speed, 3.3ghz. I've not had any BSODs since, although it might be a little early to say this has cured the problem. The OCUK BIOS profile uses a 45x multiplyer (base frequency 10000), 1.340v CPU core voltage and 1.543v DRAM voltage.

I'm a novice when it comes to hardware, especially with overclocking. I plan to run with no overclock for a few days to see if I get any more BSOD's, and assuming not I'd like to try and find a safe setting. What speed should I try to overclock to with my setup? Could it be a voltage issue rather than simply the CPU speed? Are there any tests I can run to find out what the problem really is?

Thanking you in advance for any help.
