** The Elder Scrolls Online - EXCLUSIVE PRE ORDER EARLY ACCESS **

Out of interest what were the bad points of the beta? Was it that it was a limited beta with not a lot in or was everyone expecting skyrim 2? I didn't play it so interest to find out all the cons as I was looking forward to this from the trailers.

It was just very generic in terms of an MMO. Nothing broke the mould and everything was incredibly basic. It's like someone just made the most generic MMO ever then slapped a Skyrim UI over it and added some Elders Scrolls lore. Not even joking either, it's exactly how it feels.

Kind of a hypocritical statement.

Fans of the Elder Scrolls universe could see it exactly the same way.

I'm a huge fan of Elder Scrolls but there's no way on earth i'm paying a sub for this, i'll get into it when it becomes FTP like a lot of MMO's these days

Are you an mmo player or was your expecting the elder scrolls 6?

What's wrong with a bit of both?

What I would like is basically a multi-player Oblivion that spans the entire world. If it's not that then i'll pass thanks. It'll probably get there in a couple of years with upgrades but from all accounts it's nowhere near that

What do you think the chances of the beta mirroring the released game? I guess quite high then. Shame I would have loved it to be like the trailers :(

Very high, they won't make any big changes this close to launch. A huge problem for me was the simplicity of combat and healing which I can imagine is steming for the fact the game is also aimed at console players who's controller is no where near as good as a mouse and keyboard for an MMO.

Being frank though, if anyone is into the Elder Scrolls lore and could deal with it being a bit of a basic game then they will most likely still get a lot of enjoyment out of the 30 days that come included when you buy it. I guess you just need to look at it as a normal game that you'd spend £30 - £40 on and be done with inside a month.

Nooo. I watched a ten things to like about Elder scrolls and one of them was the controllers vs MMO's like WOW and STOR being basic and characters doing amazing attacks only having to click one button. They talked about the players having to use complex methods to make good attacks..... well guess that was marketing bs then.... damn them

Completely agree! That was the main problem I had with the beta, I can only speak from Playing as an archer but it was the most unrewarding sense of combat I have ever played., Flash games have done it better.

With the release so soon after the beta I cannot see them overhauling all the things that people found wrong with it.

Being an archer was incredibly disappointing yeah, they've tried their best but there is not much 'Elder Scrolls' about it, I will still try it at launch but despite trying my hardest to like it as a massive TES fanboy, I'm struggling.

I was not expecting anything like Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim but there are little things they could have done to make it feel more like you were in Tamriel.

Familiar voice actors, music, references etc, there's not enough of them.

I wanted a game more along the lines of EVE for a TES mmo (heavy implications, massive player driven storyline etc) that was never going to happen though especially with the popularity of Skyrim.

That's laughable if the devs actually said that considering they are using the same underlying engine that SWTOR did and are now having the exact same issues with clunky combat and out of sync GCD/combat animations.

This POS engine will never provide complexed or smooth combat. One thing WoW does so well (and I just don't understand why no other MMO can seemingly get it right) is fluid combat.

And yet the reason why the engine was so bad with SWTOR was because their devs took a beta version and made changes, the released version/later version was going to be so much better.....

(WoW's animations etc are better than most due to Blizzard making their own engine)

Bethesda are known for talking complete loblocks about their games just before release.

Oblivion had all these fancy shadows and graphic touches when they were demoing it, on release they were all gone.

Skyrim had claims of great enemy and radiant AI and a huge number of voice actors. All gone. And let's not forget all the claims regarding the still broken PS3 version of the game.

Bethesda aren't developing this, it's ZeniMax Online Studios who are a smaller part of ZeniMax Media, who also own Bethesda.

But your point still stands regardless :D

Exactly.

It offers nothing new over the already established MMO's around & What it is trying to do it does worse than other MMO's too.

The person saying "well its only beta" Sorry but that doesn't wash with me now, because I have heard it time & time again.

Countless times i've been in MMO Betas & they turn out to be exactly the same on release. Maybe after a year they might get a tiny bit better. But usually just from playing the Beta I will know what state the game will be in on release.

Think i'll be waiting 6-12 months on this one. When the game looks like garbage before its released its a bad sign. and this race/paywall issue puts the comapany in a bad light.

All i want is another single player Elder scrolls game, why couldnt they have tampered with the fallout series instead.

Theres no way this will be polished enough for a launch this soon. Devs needs another 6-12 months on this or else forget it.
