The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim announced

I Basically should I buy PC or PS3?
But I am tempted to buy Skyrim on the PS3, lazy day on the couch in front of the Plasma.
Thanks.

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOODS! (And no, i dont mean the ones here)

Even if you dont mod it heavily, get it on the PC. Even if you just prefer some interface and/or graphics tweaks, or find as in Oblivion that arrows were rubbish and barely worth using, there'll be a mod out for it in a short while.

And just move your PC into the living room for a bit, hook it up to the telly :p

my housemate is lucky, he gets to play the game on his HTPC hooked up to my 59" plasma. Immersion much?

I'd imagine 360 and PS3 will be 30fps, 720p afairs, whereas PC will be 1080p (or whataver rez u want) 60fps, anti-aliasing etc.

I'm tempted to output over HDMI to my tv so I can lie in bed and play! If it works well with 360 pad that is. That way I get benefits of the console but power of the PC. Again, if it works out that way.

EDIT: woo 500 posts! :)

This is my plan :) brought a 5m hdmi cable on ebay and have a 360 pad ready even tho i hate 360 pads but should work out well!

of course, it's in the front room after all.

TV is Samsung PS59D6900, AMP is a Yamaha RX-v1067 and speakers are Acoustic Energy Neo including the sub :) HTPC is a core i5 with a gtx460, he's just got another one today to do sli, just for skyrim :)

So how do I set up an amp + Bronze series BX2 loudspeakers to my PC? Is the wiring easy or difficult?

Probably not worth the cost and effort though when I already have expensive PC speakers that can be connected in 2.1.

It's gotten to the point where the next 2 days are going to be painful.

At least you dont have a fist sized lung swelling being melted away into gooey mush by Amoxicillin, and spreading fever throughout your arms, shoulders, chests and legs at the same time :D

.....

Mumsie caught it, and she looks like death too :x

Depends what you have. We specifically got an AMP that had 6 channel analogue inputs for the htpc (coming out of a soundblaster x-fi elite pro). But you could also encode to dolby digital and output over optical or coax
