I'm having real difficulty getting hold of Eagle F1 GS-D3's now :(

Thats made me so emo. What else can I get thats as good in the wet for a similar price, plenty of better dry performance tyres out there but its the wet I care about :(

What size are your tyres? 225/45/17. blackcircles.co.uk have GSD3's...

235/40/18 and 265/35/18. Blackcircles have front but not back.

Can't decide whether to risk trying the Assymetrics. I doubt I will need new tyres again for a few years so I dont want to get stuck with 600 quids worth of crap rubber.

Mytyres list the GoodYear F1 GS-D3s in 265/35 R18 for £138.80 each

Have emailed them but was concerned about reports in Pistonheads that they ship 'Made in China' ones?

Also worried about what happens if I get a puncture in 5 months time and cant replace it with another tyre the same.

Local place has a Hunter balancing machine and will supply and fit the front ones for £115 each, and if I supply the rears from the internet they'll fit them as well for £7.50 each..

Mytyres say they have stock but I've asked about the Germany v China thing.

We would like to inform you that there are 2 factories where Goodyear
produces road legal tyres for UK use. Indeed, the plants are located in
Germany and in China. The tyres produced in China have quality
certifications and they are correctly E marked for UK use so they are
considered to have the same quality standard like the ones produced in
Germany. All the tyres produced by Goodyear are first sent to their
warehouses and since there is no difference considered between them,
they are mixed up. Therefore, the tyres that arrive into our warehouse
are mixed up too so we can not tell you for sure what kind of tyres will
be delivered, made in China or Germany.

Great. So buying tyres from Mytyres is a lottery.

Don't know why but the op seems to gloss over the multiple recommendations of the Vredstiens even from ex GSD2/3 fan boys like myself. They have fashion and form and Autocar put them top of their test.

The last Autocar test I've read did not feature Vredstien - has there been a more recent one? The test I have read with Vredstien featured was Auto Express - they did very well indeed and won the test but it was a test versus mid range tyres not high performance tyres?

Is there a high performance tyre test out there where the Vredstiens are featured?

Camskill suck - contacted them, despite advertising them on their website they dont have any and cant get any. Grrr.
