The end to Fireman Sam?

Fire "fighters" don't actually "fight" fire though so we shouldn't use that term as it's not like there's a bunch of people swinging kicks and punches at a chip pan blaze is there. What they actually do is "extinguish" a fire, so technically they should be called "Fire Extinguisher" but that leads us into a whole different problem as we already use that term. So what is another term for an extinguisher, a "Puter-Outer" or how about changing the name to cover what they actually do instead - they are a Fire, Incident & Rescue Expert aka a "F.I.R.E" - Oh sweet baby Jesus this is getting complicated isn't it :D

No, just the Commissioner.

Haven't they been referred to as Firefighters for a good while now? Sounds like the Commissioner is out of touch.
