I've just watched this and to say it mad me shake my head in disbelief and anger is an understatement.

Not even sure which section of OcUK to post in motors, speakers corner, GD.

Why not spend some money on catching proper criminals rather than picking on the motorists. I mean FFS how bad do they want to look on tv???? The amount of money they invested in ANPR etc surely could have dealt with more serious crimes. I know uninsured drivers etc cost people money etc but I'd rather have more bobbies on the beat and the law to deal with the scrotes who vandalise peoples property etc.

They pull over a woman who they found out later is genuinely insured. She has young kiddies all the shopping etc - can't remember the insurer as she used a broker. Ah well missus ANPR + PNC means tough luck. Get all your gear out we seize the vehicle etc. I love the head copper telling his team - get out there and do what you do best - nick villans.

Sods law though they nicked the good samirtan who helped the young mum. She didn't have a license so well done for that one.

I'm sure I read that the online statistics are not always up to date anyway. So your nice shiny car might get seized , vandalised etc because the computer is wrong - no producers anymore?

I bet after the woman got her car back etc she received a nice written apology from the chief constable and money for her incovienice etc.

And the baliffs sticking their foot in the guys door and he pushed em out? They call the coppers and they nick him for assault (okay he was already wanted but..) - if someone trys that on then baliff or not are they seriously saying you can't get them off your property?

Grrr makes me angry. The street I live in is a 20 zone. Stick a cop car in there of an evening and nick all the idiots doing 50+mph. Nah we can't do that we'd rather nick someone for 33 on a speed camera.

The woman in the 4X4 Merc was a disqualified driver who had 11 convictions, definitely not a good person to knowingly take the woman + her kids in her uninsured vehicle without a license.

Baliffs, both the ones with ANPR and the dynamic duo were scum, using very underhanded techniques.

Well we have both, so everyone wins (or loses, depending on which side of the law you choose to operate).

The police will stop investing time and resources into roads policing, as soon as people stop committing criminal offences on the roads. That doesn't seem likely to happen soon, unfortunately.

Just watched it on PVR. Most bizarre part was two bailiffs trying to gain forced entry, with the cameras rolling. As rude and scum as the occupier might have been, the main bailiff guy not only put his foot in the door, not only did both of them lean on the door but also at some point actually entered the premises, effectively by force. That's illegal, in any way shape and form, they can't do that, they are not legal entity and have no right or even right to warrant to do so. What's even funnier - being "bailiffs" employed by private company, they are nothing more than glorified postmen. By pushing the door and entering the premises, they've just provided the occupier with clean and straight forward court case. With cameras rolling.

End of the pilot episode I didn't know what to think.
- Police took away insured car and left family with birthday cake stranded on pavement because "computer said no"
- Police arrested retiring gardener for alledgedly stealing his own car (!)
- Private firm employed debt collectors gained entry to private building by deception and attempted to excercise forced entry to private flat
