He had quite clearly taken several strides down the pitch, then realises he's been caught out of his ground and tries to retreat to the crease. Fundamentally different scenario to Bairstow stood in his crease clearly thinking the ball was dead.

Australia are making a right **** of this. You can’t tell me this is better than bowling full. The whole short ball tactic was predicated on it slowing the scoring rate.
