Could have won all 4 tests and ended up losing the Ashes due to rain. You couldn't get more English than that

It sucks to lose this way but when you leave yourself needing to win 3 in 3, there's always the chance that weather is going to cause you some problems. And we only have ourselves to blame for losing the first two tests. Hopefully we can win the final test to level the series but it's so frustrating to have been so much better than Australia and come away with so little to show for it. You just wish the next Ashes weren't 2 and a half years away.

Can't see us winning the Ashes back down under, the gap between the two sides in Australian conditions is much bigger then it is in English conditions. Maybe if we both Archer and Wood both available and fit we could run them close but that's a big if.

Dunno, I've got more confidence with this batting style and capability that we could go there and get a result. Yes we need some more highpace bowling options but the work that county cricket is doing with the kookaburra ball should hopefully help with that development.
