The F1 2015 season

So being that they have come out with some rule changes for next year, I thought we could keep the current 2014 thread clean.

No tyre blankets
Teams will no longer need to design and manufacture their own unique suspension and brake ducts, which should help reduce costs. I.E. these can be brought off the shelf, though it will be interesting who these can be brought from.

Formula 1 is to make another attempt to ban tyre warmers in 2015. Previous efforts to introduce a ban have been scuppered because of safety concerns, amid worries from drivers about racing on cold tyres. But as part of a raft of changes proposed for 2015, the FIA announced on Thursday that all forms of tyre heating devices will be outlawed.

Further changes for 2015 include the fact that teams will no longer need to design and manufacture their own unique suspension and brake ducts, which should help reduce costs.

Thats the thing. The stock kit will be old and naff compared to what RBR, Ferrari and Merc will be building. Sure, you can save costs by buying that kit, but it will be so crap that you might as well not race because you will be at the back of the grid.

Yeah, I don't see how it really allows for cost saving???
