I didn't think it was that bad. The way Everton's players were lining up inside the box it looked like Baines was going to take it with an outswinger. The keeper was only a step or so too far to his left - the bend on the free-kick is what killed him.

Aye it wasn't horrific. Poor would have been a better word to use.

Yup, so often in those situations it's one guy who takes 99.999% of freekicks and some random player pretending like he might take it.... but never, ever does because everyone knows who will take it.

Very few teams have two excellent freekick takers who favour a different foot to make that a genuine keepers nightmare situation. Still could have potentially got it but it was one of the few spots on a pitch that suited both a righty going for the top corner and a lefty whipping it in.

Haven't been watching the whole game or paying much attention to it but again when I look up Lukaku is really pressuring the defence, beating players, winning freekicks and corners. Was excellent against City, he's put in some great performances recently... and bam, goal.
