The Faith No More Appreciation Topic

Every member was at the top of their game on every album!
Even Roddy Bottum, (name still cracks me up, gettit? :p)

Patton, Bordin and Martin though stand out a mile.

Favourite album... Angel Dust.
Favourite Track... Everything's Ruined.

I'll never forget listening to The Real Thing druing my holidays in 1990 and Mark Goodier's use of Everything's Ruined as the song of the week. I taped it off the radio and had it on a mix tape with NIN - Head Like a Hole.

Glorious times, great thread!

They're one of those bands that i always knew existed, but never really listened to!

/*investigates..

They were a great band (albeit not quite as good towards the end).

Angel Dust in an immense album - was only listening to it the other day.

I can still remember seeing 'Form out of nowhere' for the first time on 'The Power Hour' so fresh at the time in comparison to the hair metal saturating the market.
Have to say that whilst i think 'The Real Thing' is a near flawless album i would probably put 'Introduce Yourself' down as my favourite with songs like Faster Disco, Anne's Song, We care a lot ... I just love it. Unfortunately for me it is one of those cd's that you listen to that transport you right back in time so i tend not to listen to it that much.

Very true. Chinese Arithmetic stands out a mile for me too, great bass and drum combination.

I still love "Underwater Love" ;)
My m8's and I saw them at the NEC when the whole of the NEC ripped up the soft cushions form the seats and were throwing then around the hall. It was a major ROFL and you had to be there to see the 1000's of cushion missiles being punted around!!

Rock on

Damn I wish I'd seen these guys live. One of my favourite bands ever and yet at the time I didn't have ears for anything but Guns N Roses (I was about 10).

Ah well, we still have all their great music.

the real thing is one of my all time favourite albums. infact i'm listening to it now.... :p

but i'm not too keen on the rest of their stuff. :o

The Real Thing and Angel Dust are superb albums and take me back to my college days...

But favorite tracks are "last cup of sorrow" from album of the year and "Everything's Ruined" from Angel Dust
