Had to laugh. This taken from a well known hardware magazine which shall remain nameless:

"Prepare your rig for the future of games with the Radeon X1950 series - the fastest consumer 3D graphics processor on the planet. "

Im thinking of writing a letter (email) and pointing out this slight oversight. While I appreciate the x1950 is a good card I dont think it's has the fastest 3D graphics processor on the planet??

If im not mistaken the 8800 series does better?

The 8800GTX is roughly 90-100% faster than the X1950XT-X.

I suspect the article was written months ago.
The magazine authorized the article to be published.
The magazine contents were sent off to the printers.
In the meantime the 8800 series came out, but too late to change the articles in the magazine.
And the magazine editors probably didnt care as they allready paid for the story.

I suspect the next big thing the magazine will report on will be the 8800GTX.
