After months of narrowing down the options for my new phone i have finally made up my mind UNTIL last night when i found out i could get another phone so i have decided to ask OCUK for help

here are the offers

HTC Touch Pro Vodafone- pay £100 today then £29.79 a month for 18 months which gives me 600 minutes and unlimited texts (Not sure about Data) plus a free bluetooth headset(will more than likely sell) plus a hidious looking cradle

OR

the HTC Touch HD Orange - Pay £83.98 today then £38 a month (£46 for "unlimited" data) for 600 minutes and 500 texts (no freebies)

Please help me OCUK will be buying on Friday

Thanks PCDave

yeah that orange 'offer' is not very good IMO, that vodaphone one looks a lot better! Get a quote on the blackberry storm while your there as well ;)

Anyway i to can upgrade tomorrow (Friday) and have been looking at the touch hd. I am only on a £25 pm contract and was given a ridiculous quote of £300 for the phone! but that's if i wanted to stick with £25 pm, and there is no way i am paying that kinda money, luckily i have a friend at orange, so am hoping he can do a deal for me. (fingers crossed)

Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate your help. I definitely will NOT be going with the Orange deal. I have been doing some browsing today and found that mobiles.co.uk is offering the touch HD for free on the O2 600 plan; which for £30 a month plus £150 cash back isn't that bad plus i already have a contract with them so I might even try a bit of haggling now you guys have given me some information.

well you might want to read the buying from mobiles.co.uk thread on the blackstone section on the xda-developers forum before going ahead with ordering from them ;)

The contract has been sorted! I have an 18 month contract with Vodafone for the HTC Touch HD. I got the phone for free, a free Sandisk 8GB micro SD card, 200 minutes, 1000 texts and "unlimited mobile broadband" for £35 a month.

for those that need more mins they also do it with 500mins but its only 100texts(enough for me as I don't text that much these days) for the same £35/month.

frakker from the looks of it they have it like with t-mobile and web'n'walk, where they include the 'unlimited' web for £5 ontop of the normal price of the price plan(e.g the £35/month that pcdave has gone for is normally £30/month but the has added unlimited web for £5 to make it £35/month). this save £2.50/month if you where add the unlimited web at a later date.
