The First Descendant (UE5)

This is a F2P looter shooter similar to Destiny or Warframe and will be released on Feb 2024.

It is using UE5 and looks great and runs surprisingly well with no shader compilation stutters - I have it running at high settings @ 4k 60 FPS using DLSS.

You can play it now as it is on open beta so give it a go and report back your findings

Enjoyable game but nothing to write home about. Constantly reboots my system for some reason that i cant pin down as to why atm.

Hmm, I have completed the main story mode and have had 2 BSOD so far and this is the only game it has happened on. Looking at the steam forums, other people seem to have had the exact same thing and some reckon it is to do with their anti-cheat software causing the BSOD.

Does anybody else feel like they're playing a knock off version of destiny?

They also borrow heavily from Warframes modding and leveling system too, almost exactly but just changed the name slightly.

Decent F2P game thats worth playing if you are into looter shooters but once you have completed the main campaign, there is no incentive to keep playing unless you like grinding and min/maxing characters and weapons.
