I only started getting my interest back in this. The last time was using my dads slr and palying around. Fisrt 2 are on a mates S5100 and the other my new s6500 (dont have the money for all these nice true DSLR cameras :( )

Please feel free to give C&C and i'll take it like a man!

2.

3.

4.

I love 1, the black and white and the way the cat is partly framed by the fence. I think 2 and 3 are good too, but am not sure about 4; perhaps it would have been better if the bee and flower were to the right of the frame rather than the centre.

1. bit soft, but well framed, i like it.
2. the crop is a bit too tight for me, but a nice photo.
3. could be a lot more than it is, it's not that sharp and lacks a focal depth imo, but nice use of colour
4. i might have sounded harsh on the previous 3 but i geniunely like all 3 photos, but i'm not a fan of this one, everyone does this type of photo, check messiah-khans for an uncomparabley more well rounded style of photo, i think it may just be the flower here because the style you're going for is on it's way to looking good.

Maybe it's just me, but I find my eye drawn to the lamp post in the foreground of 3 - I guess it's just a bit...irregular compared to the trees.

nice photo's. number 2 is my favourite though. i love the tight crop and the fact that the cat doesn't really know what's going on!

good choice of camera to. the S6500fd is a very, very capable camera.

thanks guys...

the bee one was my first try on macro but i have to admit that the apature is wrong, i love Messiah's work and yes there is work to be done on perfecting that.

the third again could have had a smaller apature as agreed i wasnt 100% on the original photo.

hopefully there will be better one in the future but since i was flooded out and the weather is a bit crap at the moment so havent had a real chance to experiment.
