The first non reference cooler 290x ive seen!

Yeah, I got a feeling they would do a matrix version. But these a lot would definitely help loads. I have my wallet ready for a good cooled one! must wait longer grrr

The thing to remember is that the cooler may be quieter than the ref one but you could be dumping around 350watts of heat into your case if you are into overclocking, good case air flow is vital.

I have this problem with two Asus Matrix Platinum 7970s. When overclocked one day I forgot to take the side panel off my case and the tubing on my custom waterloop for the CPU sagged quite a bit from the heat. The water in the Rez also dropped quite a bit because of the sagging tubing too.:D

I have the 7970 matrix platinum overclocked (not by loads) I think I should be ok for that as I've got decent airflow in my 820, but dam that tubing :( rip

Not sure if there's an estimate on the date but I'm guessing/hoping more towards xmas or new years :P

It's already pretty much confirmed that if they are available before Christmas, it would only be in Asia area such as Taiwan (Asus, Gigabyte and MSI), Hong Kong (Sapphire) for example...for us on the other side of the globe, adding the slow international shipping, we ain't gonna see it landing in the UK till early January at least...

lol madness. I'd imagine these would be locked at 1.4V too? Can you foresee going much higher honestly lol?

I want to see some stock of bolt on coolers other than the Prolimatech one, i got a stock 290 crying out for cooling and its going to be a little while before i can buy a block for it and slap it under water
