I got a new mechanical pencil to go along with the fountain pen. I'll be using it for writing maths notes.
I might get one of those multipacks and some spare ink refill cartridges.I buy little 30ml bottles of Diamine ink, they’re dirt cheap and last ages. I have Sherwood Green but it’s too dark so I bought Apple Glory and it’s really quite nice. At just over a couple of quid each, you can buy and try loads to see what you like.
This pen is £10 off at the moment on Prime Day deal. Really tempted now!Thinking of getting this as I really fancy a broad nib. I like the fine nib on my current pen but I'm thinking a broader nib will flow better when taking quick notes.
I keep the Sapphire Blue loaded in a pen all the time, also I have a big bottle of Lamy black which is also always loaded in a pen.
Sherwood Green and Imperial Purple are both a bit dark, Apple Glory and Lavender are nice. Both shades of red are also good but if I had to pick one, it would be Wild Strawberry.

If you get some ink in a bottle and one of these:Used a fountain pen today for the first time in about 20 years whilst registering our daughters recent birth.
A wave of PTSD hit me, remembering all the burst pods that would cause havoc in my school backpack!
Has anyone got any idea how to fix this?
could try leaving it soak in warm water for a while incase there is some dried up ink somewhere in the flow path
How quickly? I have a Safari and an Ideos inked all the time, and never have a problem with them drying out. It's not just one Safari, I've got a bunch, all different colours and one of them always has ink in.I've moved over to one of the Lamy Safaris I've got but it dries out almost constantly. Has anyone got any idea how to fix this?
