The future of light painting - Pixelstick kickstarter

£230 + import costs. I love the concept and considering buying one just because of how different it is, would a Chinese clone be out 6 months later though?

definitely taking it to the next level, but really, why not go the whole way and just use CG?

Saying that I am tempted to make one, no so much for photography but it looks cool to play with. Pretty sure I could make one for less than half the price.

If the video was genuinely created using the prototype, then wow, just wow! But, why is my mind doubting it? They just looked too good to be generated like that, surely?

Cool idea and effects but its a lot of cash for a programmable led under car light and a lipo battery. Which is basically what it is.

Yeah that's exactly what it is... You can just pop down to the local Mcdonalds car park and rip one off a Corsa :P

As Steeps says, its going to be pretty expensive to import to the UK, especially as its expensive anyway.

It looks cool, but ultimately I'm inclined to believe I can create something using other light sources which don't cost as much. Further to that, light painting is something I'd try for a bit of fun every now and then, not something I'd spend over £200 to do.

40 minutes left... I still can't decide if I want to or not. It's between this and a car rig, although both could be used together...
