Does anyone know why sometimes G-sync flickers?

It usually does it in game menu's for me..

My main g-sync monitor is at 144Hz. My second monitor isn't g-sync and is at 60Hz.

The weird thing is, if I move my mouse arrow to the second monitor and click anywhere there, then the flicker on the g-sync monitor stops.

I've looked it up online and quite a lot of people get this. There are some people who say its a flaw in g-sync.

As anyone else experienced this?

If the framerate momentarily drops to 0 you get a blank frame with g-sync apparently or something like that - for some reason happens to me on some driver versions and not others.

There is a good video I found this morning explaining this. Am I allowed to post a youtube video in the thread?

Happens with me when some games are doing heavy disk thrashing, especially Paradox titles when loading save games and the like. I create profiles for these games to fix the refresh rate.

You can post any video aslong as it doesn't break the rules i.e Nudity or bad language.
Ok, thanks for the clarification.

This is the video I was thinking about. Interestingly it was done over 2 years ago and still there is an issue. It sounds to me like its a g-sync technology issue. It seems if games drop frames especially in mmo type games, or ones with a lot of loading screens then the flickering starts. I'm surprised nobody as made a g-sync 1.01 version to counter that issue.

A look into reported G-Sync display flickering.

Which option do you select to do this? I've been experimenting but I'm still a newbie when it comes to the nvidia control panel.

Manage 3D settings->program specific settings, find the .exe in the list and set the "monitor technology" to fixed refresh. When that game loads it should switch off gsync while in game. My monitor power light changes colour to show it is off.
