On top of the good things that I've heard about Cocoon, it being recognised with that award means that I really need to take a look at it as its on Gamepass anyway.

No awards for Tears of the Kingdom is crazy. It is one of the best games ever made.

Edit. Nevermind, the above list is not complete for some reason. Tears of the Kingdom won best action adventure game.
Yeah I missed that one, thats what comes of writing the post at 4am after watching almost 4 hours of the awards show :)

I'm glad I'm not the only masochist who subjected himself to that! Terrible show overall. Giving no time at all to the winners to say a few words, but celebrity presenters get twice as long and Keighley gets to massage Kojima's ego for ages!
Yeah it wasnt a great show at all, especially as some of the awards werent given any time at all, nobody even to pick up the award, was just read off a list rapidfire. I think only about 4 or 5 of the awards actually had anyone come onto the stage and even then they were ushered off the stage after about 3 sentences. Meanwhile "guests" on the show were given ages to chat about there upcoming title. In the end it all felt more like a preview show than an award show.
