I'm about 150 pages into this and have to say, while it is a rather interesting book, it is one of the most depressing things I've ever read.

The thing that throws me is, if some guy just going through a routine with a girl can convince her to sacrifice everything and sleep with him, how can any relationship be real? it means love doesn't exist and any connection or intimacy is nothing but circumstancial.

sounds crazy but i'm considering breaking up with my girlfriend just because of reading this. I just don't feel that there's any point in being emotionally invested in something that's just superficial anyway.

That fact and that stupid book = the bain of my life. FYI, no that fact isn't correct but I'll let ya try it.... :rolleyes:

1)Books like this don't work. If they did then the first ones would still be selling today and there'd be no point in publishing anybody elses literature.

2)I don't know what the author of the game looks like but I bet you most women would think he's conventionally handsome, and/or, he has very high self esteem and/or can present himself and/or he is successful, therefore having a large house, nice car etc. These are things that will have ensured he slept with a lot of women. People who don't have either or all of these things tend not get regular nookie..that's a FACT.

3)This leads onto a lad I know. Bless him, he read the book 5 months ago but he's been annoying ever since. He's horny as hell when he comes out with us. He then starts using these techniques, and the guy HAS YET TO SUCCEED..(but...no...the book, it said - it said..oh...).

Women aren't stupid, they can sniff him out a mile away and thus of course reject him. What really has peeved me off is when he tries to pull my female friends. He clearly doesn't fancy them, he just wants his end away but of course due to the reasons above he doesn't get it. His behaviour then reflects back onto me and his other friends. I have urged him away from acting like this but his penis doesn't agree with me....

I disagree, mainly because iv seen it work myself, variouse things from the books combined with my own personality has led to much more sucess with women than i could ever have imagined a year ago.

Iv seen hidiouse guys (real uggo's) pull 7's, iv pulled 2 10's in a club on one night. Dont knock it, your friend obviously just needs to learn how to use the skills hes gotten from Mystery and co.

Its not a step by step guide to 100%, but it gives a hell of a lot of good advice and the Game by Niel Straus is a good place to start to get into it all.

And FYI, Niel Straus =

Hes not exactly a looker, he talks in a very high unmanly voice, hes very short and skinny, this is a pic of him after the he got into it all and wrote the Game.
 
First of all, I haven't read the book but I have just had a quick chat with my aforementioned friend.

You surely can't have lived such a sheltered life as to not realise that he's merely stating the obvious? The ways of pulling a woman have never really *changed*; men who are led to a woman's bed at 2:00am tend to have all pulled in a very similar manner anyway, and go out enough you'll see it time and time again. If you're having more success recently it's because you're now doing something right, or stopped doing something wrong, or you've basically fufilled some of the criteria I stated two posts above.

Again, read my post above. You can't discount "Ugly ******* syndrome" which could be one of life's greatest mysteries. Also remember that we all get laid at some point lol!

He's probably not a looker, but that's a god awful photo I bet even Brad Pitt has some of those. There's a much better one of him on wiki. It's also worth noting that the guy used to be a New York Times and Rolling Stone writer who has several first hand claims to fame. I'd say that means he has a good career, he's clearly got money, he's talented at what he does which no doubt will all entwine with him possessing very high self esteem. Apart from not being conventionally handsome - he has all the points I mentioned above.

You've probably got the impression that I don't really like the book that much. Which is true, but also because I believe it mentions psychological tricks to be used vindictivly (sp) for a clear gain over a woman. I didn't really mind that much when my friend was doing it to strangers, but then I realised I wasn't so happy when he was doing it to my female friends who he would have met for the first time and fair play to them for sussing him out. My point is would you be happy say if somebody were to manipulate in what's probably a pyschologically destructive manner and sleep with a close female friend/your sister/female you know from [said] age group, having read his book?
