I just thought I'd put a little thread together for those questions we're not completely sure about but are not sure they'd warrant a thread of their own.

Questions, answers, and general nuggets of wisdom are welcome all around.

Examples:

>How much RAM do I need for gaming?
-4 gigs is fine, go for 6 (3x2GB) if you're using an i7

>Is a 300W value PSU enough for an overclocked Q6600 with 2 470s?
-No, you'll blow up your computer

Go right ahead guys :)

nice idea but what exactly is the problem with people creating new threads? That way the appropriatly skilled member can open it and answer and those who dont know can move on to helping the next person.

Im assuming he means an FAQ, however such things become outdated to quick due to the nature of PC hardware

Pretty much. The idea is that the small questions- the ones that can be answered pretty much as "yes" or "no"- can be easily replied to and consolidated here. As new questions are constantly being asked or answered, it would be a kind of moving FAQ, and hence stay up to date. Does that make sense?
