Ok then, this is chance to clear your conscience, put your world right and set the books straight before you move off this mortal coil.

We all have an image (even if we pretend we don't ;) ) and preferred musical tastes but we all like music/albums/songs that we will never admit to our friends because otherwise our life just wouldn't be worth living!

Try to give some context as well :)

I'll start:

I grew up through the early eighties, my formative years were a Mod/2 Tone-Ska/Punk background, I went to Uni during the high water of the Indie dance scene and the rise of grunge, but.................

I like Bluegrass and Old Timey music :o

I've even travelled around the World just to see this one particular band :-

I feel dirty but at least I can go to my grave with a clear conscience now :(

Old Crow medicine show are fantastic though;) Wagon wheel is always great to hear...

Similar to the OP I was raised on a healthy diet of Indie music during the 90's only to be introduced to Bluegrass and 1930's inspired country :D...

Oh, is it that time of year again where someone starts a guilty pleasures thread?

There is no such thing.

There's some... French music (shudder) that I'm quite partial to:

Soldat Louis - Tirer des Caisses

Soldat Louis - Du Rhum, des Femmes

I'm into heavy metal & rock yet when I practice my drumming some of my favourite tracks to warm up with are these Sugababes and Anastacia songs which I add my own "Metally" twist too.

I listen to metal, dark ambient, classical, Arabic and Ottoman music. But I like Miley Cyrus.

I think this performance of hers is very decent:

I think of it this way. If you're studying the English language, not only should you master the finer sides of linguistics, but you must also master the vernacular.

I like acid, techno, hardcore, breakbeat, drum & bass, the likes of Mike Paradinas, Luke Vibert, DJ Producer, Aphex Twin, Black Sun Empire, etc, you get the idea.

My guilty pleasures?

Katy Perry and Abba (and no, I'm not gay).:D

Come on Over by Shania Twain is a great album, but only the American edition. I own both that and the European edition, so I am fully informed on this.

I'm currently listening to Girls Aloud's back catalogue. Good singles, but most albums as a whole are guff. Chemistry is pretty good throughout, though.
