amazing films, well the first two, I've never watched the third as I was warned off it from people whose taste in film I respect. Suggest watching them after a big pasta dinner with a few bottles of vino.

Carlito's Way is a good example too.

Scarface is an ok film, but it's nowhere near The Godfather/Goodfellas league. The fact that it's heavily stylised fools some people into thinking it's a better film than it actually is imo. For example, ask someone their favourite scene from Scarface; the same one or two answers are very likely to come up almost every time. Ask the same of The Godfather/Goodfellas, each person could give an entirely different answer.

Cringe.

On the Organised crime film front I also speak very highly of the Godfather films- the third is worth a watch indeed, I believe its negative press is purely derived from having to follow two Excellent films :)

I would also recommend: -

Carlito's Way.
Donnie Brasco.
Casino.
Goodfellas.
Get Carter.
Eastern Promises.
Heat.
Road to Perdition.
Miller's Crossing.(a little bit meh! :p)
The Sopranos Series :)
