so the series is going well Vicki is more personable than Sabine, test drives with >2 of them in the same car is better chemistry than the top gear solo algorithm.

Imola blue stinger.
Test of the 1600Kg stelveo impressive ... local guy has one, up close the curves are nice
Karun + plato testing s3/R/seat/Reenault too.

liked the way their wide boy mechanic disconnected the +ve battery terminal first during the gti upgrade section .. .Edd wouldn't do that

so the stinger was heavier than an s4, it looked svelte, and he reproached it for previous generation electronic stability conrol .

There is apparently, now a quest HD .. I need to do a re-tune.

04/10 show :
  • Alpina 110 pretty, never seen on on UK roads.
  • They're using walk-talkies during reviews, like GT/TG used to, why aren't these illegal like mobile phones ? similar amount of distraction.

The exception in law for the use of two way radios, was created because so many government organisations, such as emergency services, and the armed services, plus private organisations such as taxi companies use 2 way radios.

Even if the device you are using does not fall within the mobile phone legislation, (with or without hands free), if you can't control your vehicle properly or are driving badly, you can be prosecuted for not being in proper control of your vehicle, careless driving or dangerous driving.

If you kill someone in an accident caused by the distraction of using a two way radio etc. you can expect a lengthy sentence of imprisonment, exactly the same as if using a mobile phone.

It's not even close to the same level of distraction.

No dialling, no screen to look at and no texting or browsing the internet.

Also: why are we discussing Fifth Gear in the Grand Tour thread?
they have common dna. (in the uk)
but maybe need a generic motors TV thread
FG could outlive GT (one series remains?) too.

it's not a done deal -eg. look up the 2018 research paper
Does Talking on a Cell Phone, With a Passenger, or Dialing Affect Driving Performance? An Updated Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Experimental Studies
talking on either per se, is a distraction, and when dialling/looking drivers may add in more safety margin to compensate.

No internet I'll give you but a decent TWR has a screen and a set of controls including full number pad and in some cases can even send data including messaging functions or external connections for packet streams, etc.
