A while ago a friend introduced me to Girl talk (rap/rock) mashup music with albums like feed the animals and Night Ripper. i listen to these all the time and love it.

I've been away in Ireland and apparently they have a lot of mashups going on over there too, was at a gig in brannans in ballina on Friday and caught the cover band Gorilla Radio who were great and did a few bits of masking up of their own.

anyone else loving this kind of music and can recommend anything to look out for or sites where i can find more? One dj hit up some unlikely ones like jackson5 and nirvana, plus oasis and some others...was impressed asked for a copy of the cd but had to leave before i could get a copy:(

Girl Talk released another one called All Day earlier this year

E-603 is similar.

The Beastles by DJ BC are The Beatles/Beastie Boys and are amazing.

There's the Grey Album, which is Jay Z and The Beatles, or Jaydiohead which is Jay Z and Radiohead.

Some of these are hard to get hold of. The Beastles you'll certainly have to torrent, and The Grey Album as well.

You could also look for the Mash Up Your Bootz sets. There's a blog somewhere with them all on. Loads on there. It's generally more simple A vs B stuff, rather than the big long albums like Girl Talk does, but there's some gems in there.

There are loads of mashups here.
You will have to trawl through to find the ones you like though.
Dont forget when you save a file you will need to rename it to be a ".mp3".

This is the site of a mashup group. They do shows and stuff all over the world.
The link is to there yearly release cds.

On the site you will find links to other mashup DJs and download links for random mp3s.

As someone else posted DJ earworm is quite good. You can do a search on youtube for his 2010 video which is pretty impressive.

Ive been through a fair bit of stuff, so far i particularly like Mash Up Your Bootz vol51.

John Marr is okay but i prefer less trance/dance stuff i think. The goodblimey stuff is a bit of a trawl but there are some good uns in there too.

These are all for driving tunes any more suggestins fire away.

Q-Unit is epic.
If purely to laugh at 50 Cent's awful lyrics.

DJ Yoda is ****ing brilliant, he's done a few albums with Greenpeace. They're Radio 1 Essential mix is very good too.
DJ Food & DK have made some excellent stuff too, on the Solid Steel mix albums.

Fabriclive and Fabric have some very good mix albums too.

The only thing I've heard of his was the "Raiding the 20th century" mix which was absolutely brilliant. That was a few years ago now I think.
Yeah, that was an internet-only release.

(with DK), he's had 2 Solid Steel releases, Now, Listen! and Now Listen, Again!, as well as ColdKrushCuts, which was a collaboration with DJ Food, DK and DJ Krush. Even that's almost 15 years old now!
