THE GT GETS A BIGGER FAN! :)

The Leadtech 8800GT has always had a bigger fan, this isn't new although most people wont know it, a site posted something similar before a Leadtech review I think.

Hi there

NVIDIA have not changed the design, their reference cards use the smaller fan. So there is no such thing as old coolers as NVIDIA have not changed anything.

Its just some NVIDIA partners are offering models with a larger fan.

The old reference fan had a fan speed from 1459 to 4333 RPM, with a default speed of 1640RPM. The 4333 RPM at full speed is just way top noisy, and at default speed tempeeratures were a bit high. The new one is a different story. According to Expreview.com testing full speed of this fan is only 1664 RPM, while default is 744 RPM.

max speed on other is 1644 compared to 4333, and only 10mm wider i would say it would suck. mine is fixed on 60% and load temps are 60 and idle at 44
