Around £150 with a game code is the sweet spot for the 960. At that price it's a really good choice for 1080P, cool and quiet gaming. Any more money than that and you would be close to R9 290 / GTX 970, which would be a better choice.

At £150 and with what promises to be a stunning Witcher 3 the 960 is finally looking like a decent alternative to the 280 cards.

I do hope that AMD can offer something new and decent at that price as there is still a huge gulf between these cards and the 290/970 and those cards still offer better bang for buck.

The main reason I opted for the 960 is because of the impending (relatively) drop in process node and the DX12 unannounced feature set. The 960 suits my needs now without breaking the bank.

I've managed with very little effort and no voltage increase to up my core clock by 50MHz and the memory by 500MHz. The value of this card is great but it is a shame the £15 cashback promotion by EVGA is now over.
 
It's arrived and this card will be used and abused.
